Important U.S. Passport Information For RDSN Visitors:
As of January 1, 2008 the United States will be requiring passports to re-enter the country.  We recommend applying for your passport ASAP due to an estimated 12 week processing time.

PAYMENT METHODS

Funds for your mission trip should be mailed out 10 days before your arrival. The orphange can accomodate credit cards for payment. In addition, any monetary donation made to the orphanage can be processed by credit card. Call 619-661-9232 for processing.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to and from the San Diego Airport is $50.00 per person. This also includes transportation to all work and ministry sites during your stay in Mexico.

MEDICAL SERVICES

Medical Services are available in San Diego, California. The US Health Department recommends receiving a Hepatitis A vaccine prior to visiting Mexico.

PHONE SERVICE & ELECTRICITY

There is NO telephone service in the orphanage. If you need to contact parents, church staff, etc. to advise of a safe arrival, please do so before crossing the Mexican border. Please advise parents that they will not be able to contact their children during this time period.

There is NO electricity from 10 pm to 5:30 am at the orphanage facility - bring Flashlights!!!

LAUNDRY SERVICE

There are no laundry facilities available. Please bring a sufficient amount of clothing.

DRESS CODES AND ATTITUDES

As Christian Americans visiting Mexico, you represent not only the American culture in the eyes of the Mexican people, but, you are first and foremost ambassadors for Christ.

Your attitudes and dress should reflect that of caring and conservative individuals who have come to share Christ's message of hope and salvation for all. Women and girls are not permitted to wear tank tops. Shorts (no-short-shorts) are permitted at the orphanage and family care facilities. Shorts are not to be worn while ministering in church services.
